1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ethraeon.ai and associated domains ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ETHRAEON is a constitutional AI governance framework providing:

• Documentation: Technical documentation on AI governance systems
• Interfaces: Demonstration interfaces showing AI system capabilities within governance constraints
• Canon: Immutable evidence chains documenting system behavior and decisions
• Systems Registry: Inventory of governance systems with authority boundaries

3. Acceptable Use

You may use the Service to:

• Research AI governance methodologies
• Evaluate compliance frameworks
• Understand constitutional constraints on AI systems
• Test demonstration interfaces for technical evaluation
• Review Canon evidence for transparency verification

4. Prohibited Activities

You may NOT:

• Circumvent Safety Measures: Attempt to bypass constitutional constraints or governance systems
• Automated Scraping: Use bots or automated tools without explicit authorization
• Security Testing: Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability scans, or security research without prior written consent
• Impersonation: Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
• Malicious Use: Use the Service for illegal activities, fraud, or harm
• Overload Systems: Deliberately overload or disrupt Service infrastructure
• Misleading Claims: Misrepresent ETHRAEON capabilities or governance model

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 ETHRAEON Content

All documentation, code, interfaces, and Canon evidence are subject to copyright and intellectual property protections. See IP Registry (Canon) for detailed rights information.

5.2 Permitted Use

• Research & Citation: You may cite ETHRAEON documentation with proper attribution
• Fair Use: Standard fair use provisions apply for educational and research purposes
• No Derivative Works: You may not create derivative works without explicit permission

6. No Autonomous AI Decisions

ETHRAEON systems do NOT make autonomous decisions. All outputs are:

• Subject to human authority override
• Governed by constitutional rules
• Logged in immutable evidence chains
• Deterministic (no emergent behavior)

You acknowledge that any AI system interaction through ETHRAEON is governed by these principles. See AI Governance Policy.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. ETHRAEON DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING:

• Merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Accuracy or completeness of information
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ETHRAEON AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Damages arising from use or inability to use the Service
• Reliance on information provided through the Service

Maximum liability shall not exceed €100 EUR.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ETHRAEON, its operators, and affiliates from claims arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of third-party rights
• Your misrepresentation of ETHRAEON capabilities

10. Service Modifications

ETHRAEON reserves the right to:

• Modify or discontinue the Service at any time
• Change features, interfaces, or documentation
• Suspend access for maintenance or security
• Block access for violations of these Terms

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

11.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and applicable member state law where ETHRAEON infrastructure is located.

11.2 Dispute Resolution

Disputes shall be resolved through:

1. Good faith negotiation (30 days)
2. Mediation (if negotiation fails)
3. Arbitration or court proceedings in EU jurisdiction

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, remaining provisions remain in full effect.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with the Privacy Policy and AI Governance Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ETHRAEON.

14. Changes to Terms

ETHRAEON may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted with an updated "Effective Date." Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
